Laura,
I just submitted my review to Amazon - 5 stars! I finished the book in just a few days, having to find out how you escaped. I really enjoyed learning about what life was like in Vietnam (a perspective so different from the history books I read in school). Thank you so much for sharing such a personal story. I've bought a few books to gift, one to my Vietnam-born American friend, whose parents also managed to escape in the 70's. I look forward to reading more of your work!

Dear Laura,

Many thanks for your presentation and for the delicious cakes you brought in. It went very well and I have had enthusiastic feedback! We sold all the books I took in (10 copies of them)...I wonder if I had taken more if we would have sold more? Anyway I still have some left and your "special" window is still in place, so if you have a minute, do drop by and have a look at it!

Many thanks and congratulations for an excellent presentation!

See you soon,
Sue

Dear Laura

Your book is an epic story of our time. It is a classic with great depth and power. The story, the writing, and the setting remind me of Gone With The Wind.

As you know, I have a novel published in French "Le Voile Mis a Nu" and it will soon be translated into Spanish. The novel has received many promotions and with great success in Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe, and the United States. I am currently working on another novel, taking place in Tangier.
